“We are a tech-first event this year,” says Christopher Lomax, founder of Mantle. a coworking space and technology incubator in the Fondren area of Jackson. “However, we are hoping to sow the seeds for a wider conference that could include a more in-depth music and film repertoire in future years. The goal is to create a community organized and embraced conference to bring awareness to the mass of creatives walking around Fondren, Jackson, and Mississippi, whether those creatives are in tech, music, or film.”
Mantle. is helping launch and orchestrate Sandbox Live, a live version of their technology newsletter, alongside community partners including Ardenland, First Commercial Bank, Butler Snow, Cabot Lodge, Weir Boerner Allin, Fondren Cellars, and Cathead Vodka. Mantle. is a coworking space and technology incubator located in the revitalized Duling School in Fondren. According to Lomax, Mantle is both flexible and inexpensive office space and a community for early stage businesses and displaced professionals. The company is also opening a second higher price point option for established businesses in Fondren Corner named Mantle Suites this month. Mantle Inc.ubator is a mobile-technology-first business incubator that gives entrepreneurs with ideas for mobile applications free workspace and startup consulting in exchange for small equity stakes in the resulting companies.
